The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) Grants
. Key options include individual, targeted upgrades (insulation, solar PV, heat pumps) and "One Stop Shop" services
for deep retrofits to a B2 BER rating or higher.
A government-funded financial incentives for Irish homeowners, landlords, and communities to upgrade property energy
efficiency, reducing costs and carbon emissions
Key Aspects of SEAI Grants
Generally open to owners of homes built and occupied before 2011. Some specialized, fully-funded upgrades are
available for qualifying homes built before 2006 for specific social welfare recipients.

Key Grants Available
Individual Energy Upgrades:
Grants for specific improvements, such as attic/wall insulation, heating controls,
solar water/electricity (PV) panels, and heat pumps
One Stop Shop (Deep Retrofit)
Comprehensive, managed service for multiple upgrades to achieve a minimum B2 BER rating, with potential
for up to €36,000 in funding.
Windows & Doors Grants (2026):
Including dedicated grants for windows and doors (up to €4,000 for windows, €800 per door).
Heat Pump Bonus:
A €2,000 bonus payment is available for installing heat pumps under certain conditions.
Application Process:
Works must be completed by an SEAI-registered contractor. .
Applications are made online through the
SEAI website
Grants are paid directly into the applicant's bank account upon completion and verification of works (including a
post-works BER assessment).
Other Supports:
The Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme provides low-cost financing for qualifying projects.
